Press Pause. Unwind. Come Alive.
Life’s to short to spend all of it holding everything together.
Realistic ways to step out of the noise, be looked after for a bit and come back feeling more like you.
Sometimes you need 5 minutes.
Sometimes you need and hour.
Sometimes you need a whole bloody weekend.
How much of a pause do you need?
You don’t need to overhaul your life. Sometimes you just need to step out of it for a bit.
-

A Little Pause
I need something I can fit into my actual life.
Short online and in-person experiences for when you head’s full, your body’s tense and you could really do with someone else taking over for a bit.
From a few minutes at home to an hour or two with me.
-

A Day
I need more than a couple of hours.
A whole day to put everything else down.
Movement, good food, space, rest, sound and time where you don’t need to organise any of it.
Turn up I’ll take care of the rest.
-

Time Away
Honestly? I need to get away.
A few days away from the usual noise, descisions and responsibilities.
Beautiful places, movement, rest, gorgeous food, sound, laughter and enough time to properly exhale.
No schedules to organise. No meals to think about. No being the one holding everything together.
However long you’ve got, it starts the same way.
PRESS PAUSE - UNWIND - COME ALIVE
PAUSE
Step out of the doing, deciding, remembering and looking after everyone else.
Not when everything’s finished.
Now.
Because there will always be something else that needs doing.
UNWIND
There isn’t one right way to feel better.
Sometimes you need to move.
Sometimes you need to stop.
Sometimes it’s breath, sound, stillness, nature, food, laughter or a bloody good nights sleep.
You don’t need to figure out which one you need.
That’s my job.
COME ALIVE
Because being really good at relaxing isn’t the goal.
Feeling more like yourself is.
More space. More energy. More curiosity. More fun.
More of you available for the life you’re actually here to live.
Press Pause. Unwind. Come Alive.
Wellbeing shouldn’t be another thing you have to work at.
After more than 20 years working across fitness, movement, yoga, mindfulness, Traditional Chinese Medicine, breathwork, sound and rest, there’s one thing I know for certain.
There isn’t one perfect way to feel better.
Different people need different things.
And the same person can need something completely different on a Tuesday than she did on Sunday.
That’s why I don’t expect you to choose the right modality, know what your nervous system needs or arrive already knowing how to switch off.
Come as you are.
Stiff. Knackered. Distracted. Emotional. Curious. Sceptical. Completely new to all of this.
You turn up. I’ll take care of the rest.
Hi, I’m Debbie.
And I’m not particularly interested in helping you create a perfect wellness routine.
I’m much more interested in helping actually live your life.
There’s a reason for that.
I watched my dad work six days a week for most of his life.
He became poorly, eventually retired…
…and died three weeks later.
He was 58.
Losing him changed a lot for me.
Including the way I think about work, rest, and this habit we have of telling ourselves we’ll do things later.
When work settles down.
When everyone else is sorted.
When we retire.
I learned the hardest possible way that later isn’t guaranteed.
And somewhere amongst twenty years of working in wellbeing, running businesses, teaching, learning, losing people, starting again, travelling and, more recently, deciding it was apparently a perfectly sensible idea to move onto a houseboat…
I stopped believing life was something we should keep saving for later.
So yes, I want you to rest.
I want you to pause.
I want you to look after yourself.
But I also want you to go on the trip.
Try the thing.
Change your mind.
Laugh loudly.
Eat the cake.
Do something that makes absolutely no sense on paper but makes you feel ridiculously alive.
Because otherwise, what are we waiting for?
You don’t need to become a different person.
You don’t nee to meditate every morning.
You don’t need to become a yogi.
You don’t need to give up wine, caffein, swearing or your entire personality in pursuit of inner peace.
You can love the woo-woo stuff.
You can think some of it sounds like absolute bollocks.
You’re still welcome.
This isn’t about escaping real life.
It’s about creating enough space inside it to remember that you’re in there too.
