Meet Debbie
Life is loud.
And if you're anything like me, you're probably carrying far more than you let on.
For years, I thought slowing down was something I'd do when life became less busy.
When work settled down.
When the to-do list was finished.
When everyone else had what they needed.
The problem was... that day never seemed to arrive.
Like so many women, I became incredibly good at looking after everyone else while quietly putting myself at the bottom of the list.
I spent over 11 years running a busy fitness and yoga studio, supporting others to feel better in their bodies and minds, while also navigating my own life behind the scenes. During that time, I also experienced the loss of my dad, which changed me in ways I didn’t fully understand at the time.
I kept going. I showed up. I held space for others. I stayed strong.
But I didn’t realise how much I was running on empty.
It wasn’t until the COVID lockdown, when everything suddenly stopped, that I had the time and space to really notice myself again. Without the constant doing, I could finally see how exhausted I had become… and how much I had been ignoring my own wellbeing for years.
That pause changed everything.
It made me realise that something needed to shift.
Not just in my work, but in how I lived.
And that’s where My Holistic Bliss was born.
Not to help women escape their lives.
But to create beautiful, nurturing spaces where they can put everything down for a while, take a deep breath, and remember what it feels like to simply be.
Whether that's for a couple of hours, a whole day or a weekend away, every experience is designed with the same intention:
Press Pause. Unwind. Come Alive.
A little about me...
I've worked in the health and wellbeing industry for over 25 years, beginning my career as a fitness instructor before becoming a personal trainer, health club manager, wellbeing coach and now also a college lecturer, teaching and mentoring the next generation of fitness professionals.
Along the way, my work has evolved to include yoga, breathwork, meditation, crystal sound, mindfulness and Traditional Chinese Medicine, allowing me to support wellbeing from both a physical and emotional perspective.
But if you ask me what matters most, it isn't the qualifications or the techniques.
It's how people feel when they leave.
I want you to arrive exactly as you are.
Tired.
Busy.
Overwhelmed.
Needing a break.
And leave feeling lighter, calmer and ready to return to your everyday life with a little more energy and ease.
What you can expect
No pressure to keep up.
No expectation to be flexible.
No judgement if you've never done anything like this before.
Just a warm welcome, thoughtful experiences, beautiful surroundings and permission to take care of yourself for a change.
Many people come on their own, and by the end of the day or weekend leave feeling like they've spent time with old friends.
If you've been looking for a sign to slow down...
Perhaps this is it.
I'd love to welcome you.
Debbie 🤍
